Niamh has finished the Bible and is now busy sorting out the difference between Sparta and Athens... (so far Sparta is losing badly!)
The two of us are working hard on our carbon footprint by walking to school every day. She seems quite a lot calmer (touch wood!)
We had a visit from a very baby brown housesnake today!
Most exciting - we caught it and took it to the snake park!
Less exciting was our attempts at communal eggpealing for our pubdinner.
Never mind - at least our dining room is now FUZZY FIDDLEHEADS (thanks Dad)!

Upatree
Remember Out of Africa where they tell the story about the chap who lived up a tree with a baboon? Male or female they asked. Oh female of course - there was nothing queer about the guy.
So Jonah was up the tree cutting it down while Mum was googling Espaliering trees! It is going to take us forever to make this your dream home ... and then you will be spreading your wings to find your own homes!
Eva and Flynn had cupcakes for breakfast and Niamh said that today's lunch was the first time EVER her mother made edible food - hooray for mum! (who is feeling muchos better today as well!!!)
.... turns out the first thing we should do is take the doors off the bedrooms - Flynn just received the slammed door treatment on his pinkie from his sisters...

SNOT, BATS, CUPCAKES & LAMBS
Mum is listening to baby iPod and thinking of Jason
…and the last thing I see is my heart still beating and breaking out of my body and flying away.
Like a bat out of hell
Bit melancholy as I am SO happy we have Dad around to be grumpy and lovely.
Niamh & Dad were having serious AD and BC discussions today trying to move Mum to the AD side of the timeline - with Dad saying Mummy looks VERY daft in my timeline picture!!!
Eva is excited as she has the chance of displaying one Chicken pops any minute now! Although there was great excitement when it first broke out we have yet to see actual evidence of the dreaded disease...
Flynn has not had a great day - the grown ups are seriously trying (again sigh sigh) to curb television time - and he missed out on a green energade at school (Flynn is VERY into green drinks - preferable if they closely resemble snot which is strange as he remains the only child I know who is COMPLETELY anty getting anything from his nose in the vicinity of his mouth!!! He tried to cover it all up by saying he was only missing his mummy!

It is Dad's week for taking kidlets to school so Mum is trying to stay in bed in the morning.. and failing miserably ... but WILL try harder!
We also baked CUPCAKES today ... and we are having lamb for dinner....

Although Eva did say she is not sure and might revert back to her occasional 30 minute vegetarian stints...

Sunday alone...
Dad has taken all the kids to the farm (Poor old Mum is sick/ feeling sorry for herself/ all alone at home and missing out on all the fun!) Hopefully everyone will be back with full bellies, happy hearts and updates on the donkeys, cows and humans from the farm. The latest treat is sitting on top of Oupa's car... although this adventure has of course ended in tears a couple of times and Mum is petrified about the reaction from Dad AND Oupa if they cotton on! Mum is looking forward to baking the special cakes Dad bought the mix for today... teaching piano... and reading bedtime stories this week. Niamh is having play therapy with Janet tomorrow and the grownups are all excited and worried about it. (Dad is looking forward to reading his book under the big tree!) Fiona and Mongie look smart with their new collars (pink & blue) and they might have just forgiven Mum for this indignity by now. Our house is inching along ... there is a HUGE ditch in the garden which has revealed our perfectly buried secret steps... and Dad and Flynn are planning much more treefelling this week.
