Time flies when your having fun!
Pete and Aunty Bel got married again and we all had a fab time - Eva recruited me to hook her up with some cool long haired MUCH older boys. When I did not immediately order them to play with her she caught up to me and whispered loudly MUM - HE JUST WALKED RIGHT PAST YOU AND YOU DID NOT ASK HIM .... Ben (we found out was the poor lad's name) spent the rest of his evening chasing/ being chased by Eva...
Niamh was far too busy having a very big serious boogie with her Dad ... and even Flynn quite enjoyed the dance floor.
Angus and Nunu stayed over and Niamh and Mangy got to sleep together again for the first time in years - it was very sweet seeing them lying in each others arms in bed both reading a book! Niamh has a new favourite series : Mr Majeka!
We have also recently survived some time off in Namibia. Apparently all my progeny are totally into killing fish ... then again to date none of the kidlets have actually caught one. On holiday they did see fit to get up before the sparrow stirred to fart to fish off our deck.
The Big Mr Jones figures Camp Kwando has not a fish to its name but much fun was had by all... except maybe Flynnigan who celebrated our little holiday with raving tonsillitis (of course we treated him for malaria for a couple of days)
Mum drove every km and felt very proud of herself!
The shopping did not really happen in Katima however - no - way can beds and food and a trip to the hardward store for Dad be fitted into x minutes! (With kids sick and well accompanying!)
I woke up a couple of nights ago to Flynn standing next to my bed saying loudly - MUM. I just KNEW you needed me RIGHT NOW so I came STRAIGHT AWAY!!!!
(Midnight cuddle excuse # 701)
Eva has made a new firm friend Elke - who has promised me she would only speak Afrikaans to her.
Niamh is on the farm - apparently she has exchanged quadbikes for sewing - be still my beating heart!
Flynn and Eva are having their first karate lesson tomorrow am - this will probably be worthy of a post all in itself BUT I taught them how to count for Karate... only to have Flynn come back after a couple of hours and recite the numbers ... and then ask me "Mum, how do you say COW in Karate????"
Finally both Flynn and Eva tonight had one ear pierced - Flynn so he can look like his Daddy. (Gave Steve the pharmacist the old is that your best shot look!) Eva because she was too hysterical after one to contemplate another (she says she will wait for Riaan so she can have a snuggle from him if it hurts!)
